My Early Career Journey

Initially, I began working in Film & Television on HBO’s And Just Like That… (or AJLT), the Sex and the City reboot. My experience as a production assistant led me to work in makeup trailers, props, the production office, and even the writers room.

However, as I’ve reflected on my ultimate career goals, I’ve realized that I’m most interested in book publicity and the writing world.

Currently, I work for NYT best-selling author, Adriana Trigiani.

Author’s Office Assistant — The Glory of Everything Company

I currently work at Adriana Trigiani’s home office where most of my days are spent sending out VIP mailings and providing editorial revisions for Trigiani’s Substack.

I first began working for Trigiani as an intern during the Summer of 2023, during which I researched for Trigiani’s latest novel The View from Lake Como and provided editorial revisions. Additionally, I provided coverage for books showcased on Trigiani’s Facebook Live interviews including plot summaries and prominent themes.

I regularly organize and take inventory of Trigiani’s private library of 2,000+ books (as featured in The Washington Post). Her collection is organized by fiction, nonfiction, family heirlooms, children’s books, show-business, and her signed book collection.

I create Instagram promotion for Trigiani (@adrianatrigiani) by photographing her book events and attending NYC-based events to post to Instagram (e.g. the Pedro Pascal lookalike contest).

I research potential podcasts for Trigiani to advertise her books (relative to her brand of romance, travel, and Italian American heritage)

My Career Out of College

Contract • June 2024-November 2024

PA on And Just Like That… Season 3 — HBO MAX

Once I graduated college, I was asked to come back and work as a production assistant on the third season of And Just Like That… (a reboot of Sex and the City). During my run on season three, I worked directly for the producers, production office, and props department.

I assisted the producers through running errands, keeping track of scheduling, and conducting research for shooting locations.

During my time in the production office, I quickly acclimated to a fast-paced, dead-line driven environment. My responsibilities included transferring calls, filing paperwork, updating cast contact sheets, writing travel memos for the talent, and running errands on a daily basis.

Beginning in late August, I worked in the Props Department where I tracked all incoming packages, processed and delivered mailings, organized the office, and filed expenses.

Internship • Summer 2021

Writers Room & Makeup PA on And Just Like That… Season 1 — HBO Max

I assisted the writers and makeup department during pre-production and shooting.

I monitored 250+ emails for crew-wide merchandise orders and hand delivered orders to every department

Additionally, I took notes during writers’ meetings, conducted script research, and regularly ran errands for the writers and head makeup artists.

Before the event, I prepped special gift packages, ran concessions, and showed hospitality to VIPs. During the event, I ran the front door and ensured guests were seated in a timely manner.

During my internship for Trigiani, I provided coverage for several books showcased on Facebook Live interviews, provided social media promotion, and researched for Trigiani’s novel The View from Lake Como. In addition, I provided editorial revisions on her first drafts.

  • In Spring of 2024, I won the award for Best Playwright in Fordham Experimental Theater (FET) for “Meet Your New Partner”, a short scene that I wrote and directed. The piece comes from my sci-fi novel in-progress Agency ‘85, about a company of artists who control space and time.

  • In Spring of 2023, I won the award for Best Director in Fordham Experimental Theater (FET) for Barbie’s Princess and the Pauper. The story is a musical comedy about a princess who is identical to a poor village girl. When they cross paths, the princess is captured and it’s up to her look-alike to save her.

  • In Fall of 2023, I joined a creative writing fellowship, run by alumnae Nadine Santoro, aiming to help creative writing students navigate wellness in pursuit of a creative career.
